ABQ-LIVE takes the team to the Albuquerque BioPark

The ABQ-Live team was asked to come visit the ABQ Bio Park for our monthly adventure series to see all the new additions to the already amazing park. We were greeted by one of their friendly and knowledgeable volunteers, who took us around the park offering information and interesting facts about the zoo and the animals that inhabit it.
One of the zoo’s newest attractions is a zip line that provides both a unique adventure and a new perspective on the lively BioPark. Although nothing beats being hands on with the animals. The Giraffe exhibit offers zoo goers a chance to hand feed the giraffes as well as learn about each of the animals and their distinctive characteristics. The Lorikeet Feeding is another exhibit that offers people the chance to get up close and personal w

ith these small colorful parrots. We learned from the volunteers not only about the birds individual names and distinct characters but also about their unique, brush-like tongues used for consuming the nectar we were feeding them.
We spent the rest of the day checking out the all other animals in the park from the sea lions and tigers, to the polar bears and zebras. The ABQ-Live team had another great adventure and we invite you all to do the same.
