516 ARTS teamed up with Found Sound Nation to co-present OneBeat ABQ, an international music event and art happening at the Albuquerque Rail Yards on November 1, 2014.

This event was the culmination of a one-month residency tour from Saratoga, California to Albuquerque, which brought 25 musicians from 17 countries around the world (ages 19-35) to the U.S. to collaboratively compose, produce and perform original music and develop strategies for social engagement through music.

OneBeat is a music exchange and incubator for music-based social entrepreneurship, where innovative musicians from around the world launch collaborative projects designed to make a positive impact on local and global communities. An initiative of the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, OneBeat is cultivating a groundbreaking international network of leading artistic, technological, and social innovators in music.

Featured visual artists included Cameron Crowe, Michelle Montjoy, Ellen Babcock, Cedra Wood, Adam Wohlwend, Lance Ryan McGoldrick, Augustine Romero, William Feeney and Corvas Brinkerhoff. Performance art by Edie Tsong.
