Tucked within the vibrant alleys of Albuquerque’s historic Barelas neighborhood, Flor De Las Flores stands as a beacon of holistic healing, steeped in a legacy that binds both history and heart.
Marco Nunez, the impassioned owner, alongside his mother, birthed this distinctive haven not as a mere commercial enterprise but as a mission. Drawing from deeply personal experiences, they envisaged a place of solace and healing for their community. “Our Barelas neighbors, grappling with chronic ailments, became our motivation,” Marco explains. “We’ve witnessed the debilitating effects of narcotics on our loved ones. This dispensary is our response, our alternative.”
Today, the building, with its former life as a barbershop, gracefully blends past and present, a nod to the deep-seated heritage of Barelas. This sense of community is further emphasized by the specially designed loyalty cards for locals. But, as Marco points out, their ambition transcends mere business. “At its core, Flor De Las Flores is about helping, healing, and understanding people.”
Dedication to customer welfare is palpable in every corner of the dispensary. From knowledgeable staff to curated products, every detail is tailored to ensure that visitors, be it the Barelas locals or medical cannabis patients from afar, receive the same meticulous care and attention Marco would provide to his own family.
One product range, in particular, has received an overwhelming reception. “Our sleep chocolates have become an emblem of our commitment,” says Marco, emphasizing their unique formula infused with sleep terpenes, desi
gned to guarantee consumers a peaceful night’s sleep.
Yet, Marco believes that their responsibility isn’t confined within the walls of the dispensary. Engaging with the larger community, Flor De Las Flores often becomes a bustling hub of activity. Clothing drives, food and drink giveaways, and even the provision of free water during scorching summers underline their mission. “Such events,” Marco observes, “are our way of initiating conversations, of connecting more deeply with our community.”
Education and awareness are pillars upon which the dispensary stands. Marco and his team regularly attend industry events, striving always to enhance their knowledge. They are also active advocates for responsible cannabis consumption, often hosting community sessions to educate and inform.

Considering a visit to *Flor De Las Flores*? Their flagship store, located at 1015 4th St SW, awaits with open doors from Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 7pm. And with Marco’s incessant zeal for innovation, one can always expect the unexpected. “Whether it’s Pretzels con Queso, Pizza Rolls, or even Ramen, we’re always exploring, always evolving,” he chuckles.

Marco’s parting words ring with genuine warmth: “If you haven’t experienced Flor De Las Flores lately, we earnestly invite you. Our doors and hearts are always open.”
