The ABQ Live team stopped by for a visit, and it’s safe to say—we left more than satisfied. Juan, the owner, greeted us with genuine hospitality and generously invited us to sample anything we were curious about. As one of our team members put it best, “Juan (the owner) was amazing! He was so nice to us and let us try anything we wanted from the menu!”
There were a lot of highlights, but the Cheesecake Waffle stole the show. “The cheesecake waffle was so good—the little pieces of cheesecake were the best!” It was fluffy, indulgent, and perfectly sweet. We also got to try the bubble waffle and a classic crepe, which had that ideal combo of crispy edges and soft centers. “One of the best crepes I’ve ever had,” said one of our team members.
For drinks, the Gansito Frappe was a surprise favorite. One of us said, “As someone who grew up eating Gansitos, this made me so nostalgic- and it was absolutely delish!” And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, Juan surprised us with a Mangonada. A Mangonada is basically summer in a cup—a wildly popular Mexican frozen treat. Think juicy mango blended, swirled with tangy chamoy, and topped with a bold kick of Tajín chili-lime seasoning. It was sweet, spicy, tart, and totally refreshing.
Beyond the food, what truly left a lasting impression was the exceptional customer service. From a creative and satisfying menu to the welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff, Crepes & Waffles is the kind of place you’ll find yourself wanting to revisit. As one of our team member noted, “Everything we got was good… I would 100% go back.”
